Pool Volume Calculator
Pick a shape, enter the dimensions, and get the exact gallons along with the formula behind it. The same math our crew uses before we spec a heater or a pump.

Volume
Gallons, by shape
Every pool we build gets sized on paper before a shovel moves. Volume drives the pump, the filter, the heater, and the chemical dosing that keeps the water clean all season. Pick a shape and plug in the dimensions to see the real math.
17,234 gallons
Average depth 4.5 ft · Formula: Length x Width x Average Depth x 7.48

Why volume matters
Every number on a pool build starts with gallons.
01
Chemical dosing
Chlorine, shock, and pH balancers are all dosed by gallon. Guess the volume and you either waste chemical or leave the water short.
02
Heater sizing
A heater's BTU rating is matched to gallons and the temperature rise you want. Undersize it against the real volume and it never catches up.
03
Pump and filter
Turnover rate, how often the whole pool cycles through the filter, is set from total gallons. That number decides the pump and filter you need.
